I snapped the below photo in a cemetery in Edinburgh in 2006. The wear and fading of the center headstone are obviously permanent effects of weather (as opposed to something paranormal), but the visual pattern does remain interesting.

You're right...but it is fascinating how nature can paint the oddest portraits on things. BTW...did you notice the obelisk at the left forefront? Right beneath the whitish patch at the top one can make out a black cat sitting up very straight and tall. His "eyes" just jump right out at you (For some reason, I don't matrix human faces. I mostly matrix cats, or other animals).

GOOD GRIEF...now that I look again, there is a "creature" on the stone NEXT to the face one...standing hunched over, with the head thrust forward, and the hands raised to wait level and clenched...Mama Nature has been VERY busy in that place!!!
I love this photo...it is so very brooding and so very hauntING if not hauntED. Beautiful shot!
