I was wondering if it was just me. I notice that my house has its active times and inactive times. Lots of things will happen for a week or two, then nothing for a few weeks. I DVR a lot of the paranormal shows and usually will watch several right in a row. I notice that during inactive times, when I watch the shows, things seem to start happening again. Maybe I'm just more paranoid after watching them, but even the kids notice things, and they arent watching the shows. So do you think that spirits are listening to the tv?!

You know, we have noticed this as well. Believe it or not, when we watch Most Haunted we seem to get more activity in our house. Now, I think MH is BUNK for a show (I watch it, but more for entertainment than education) but Yvette does speak out to the spirits and ask them for responses more than the US TV hosts tend to do. We have had knocks and sounds in our house as she was asking for them on TV. Coincidence? Probably. But, cool all the same! But, if they can hear YOU when you are asking out during an EVP session I see no reason they couldn't hear the television as well.
Good question. I would like to hear others opinions on this.

It could have something to do with your mindset after watching. Perhaps you become more in tune with your environment because of stimulus the paranormal shows are providing.

I'm glad I am not the only one that this happens to. They may not be able to distinguish the difference. I don't usually watch Most Haunted any more because I can't stand all the screaming! But, I think I may tune in this week and see what happens. roestman- I was thinking the same thing at first, but people who had not watched the shows were having experiences as well.

Roestman, good thinking. But, it could possibly be the opposite. Maybe your environment is more aware due to the stimulus provided by the shows. Either way, you bring up a great point. By the way, I tend to really like your posts and your way of thinking. You have a logical way of seeing things, it's refreshing.
