I was just wondering if a basic digital recorder would work ok for an investigation. I got one from Wal-Mart for like $40.00. It is really nice. It has USB hookup, and is really easy to upload on the pc. Does anyone think that will work ok for an investigation?

I got a basic one from walmart around the same price - maybe we have the same one. I haven't really used it "in the field", but I've tested it, and it picks up even the smallest noises very well. I am quite confident that it will do just fine

I've tried that with mine, and can't get it to work. I might be doing something wrong? Idk I really wish I could get it to work.
