Hello Brian and all, I was curious to know which sound editing software you and the various forum members prefer to use when reviewing your evp captures?I currently use audacity/cool edit and adobe audition for reviewing mine. All work great for me!

I use WAVPAD, find it pretty easy to use and works great.

I like Audacity also, easy to use and isolate and you can email friends who can download a free copy of Audacity to hear the evp. Only drawback is that it does not edit background noise easily

We use both Adobe Audition and Wavepad. We mostly used Abobe until this summer and someone told me about wavepad, and after a little time to learn it, I have come to like it better then Abobe. However I can not stand Audacity. It is just to limited as to what it can do. I understand that it is a free software where the rest you have to pay for, but trust me when I say you really do get what you pay for. But I have seen that there are places on the web that have cool edit free now. So if you want a good software that is the early version of Audtion and not want to pay the Audition price, that might be a option for you.

I started with Audacity as well and found it useful (especially for free) but also limiting. I went to Adobe Audition and like it as well. Now I use Adobe Soundbooth and it is the best I have used yet by far.
