A few months back I was sitting in my bedroom on the bed working on my writing and my Brother-in-Law was sitting in the living-room working on his laptop while watching TV. The door to my bedroom was open and sits right across from where I was sitting on my left side. From the corner of my eye I saw a figure grayish/bluish walk by as if it were going into my Brother-in-Law and my Sister's bedroom. I thought nothing of it since it looked like him walking by. I was waiting for him to come back out because I wanted to ask him a question but he never came out. I decided to take a peek into the room but there was no one in it. I walked out into the living-room and he was still sitting in the same spot working on his computer.
A week later I was sitting in the very same spot, only this time I was alone in the house and my bedroom door was closed. I was reading a book when suddenly a woman's voice said 'Hello'. It was loud and it sounded as if it came from right in front of my closed door inside the room where I was. I looked up and sat there for a few seconds, stunned, and then replied Hello back. I experienced nothing else. I got up and out into the living-room and checked the house out. I was still quite alone. I wasn't afraid or anything. No chills, nor discomfort of any kind. I even tried to strike a conversation with her or it, but nothing came of it. She sounded very pleasant and bubbly. She sounded as if she was middle-aged and I did not recognize the voice.
Other things have happened to be throughout my life and I will post them sooner or later.

Wow. How long have you lived there? I'm glad it wasnt scary. It is always nice to hear a "Hello" and not a "Get out!" lol I wish I could hear something so clearly. In my house I hear whispering and murmuring. My 6 yo heard someone say her name very clearly one night and my 14yo heard her name also one day. She also heard snoring in her bedroom Looking forward hearing your other happenings

Pamela, do you have a land line phone or stereo system in your bedroom? I've heard someone say "Hello?" coming directly from my phone even though the phone didn't ring. I've also had a partial phone conversation and someone speaking on a CB radio coming from my stereo speaker even though it wasn't powered on.

It wasn't the phone because I usually keep the phone out of my room, and I do not have a stereo in my room. There was nothing turned at all, not even a light since it was during the day. I always have total quiet I'm writing. After the incident happened I even looked out the window to check and see if anyone was walking by, but there was no one around. There is one thing I just remembered I did not mention before. Right across from my bedroom door, sits the circuit breaker box. I thought maybe it could be emitting high electromagnectic energy that could be playing with my brain. My sister has a K2 meter and the readings were low when we measured the box.

One factor about EM fields concerns dissipation by distance. The wave will weaken the farther you go from the source. Plus, the common EM fields in our homes (like from circuit breaker boxes and most appliances) are in the low or extremely low frequency range. Out of all the studies conducted for EMF Hypersensitivity, there is no evidence that the human body *instantaneously* reacts to these low frequency waves. When researchers do these studies, people are subjected to higher frequency waves for a particular length of time. Even under these conditions, there have been no conclusive and repeated results. I know we often hear about EMF Hypersensitivity on shows like GH, but this conclusion has no basis in science.

Any baby monitors around? I thought I was losing my mind when my nieces were little because they will pick up phone calls from the neighbor's phone. My niece's picked up one side of a conversation. At the same time each day for over a week I'd here a woman say "Hello" "Yeah, it's me." "How's it going?" "I'm OK, really." Then there'd be the random weirdly pertinent things like "How is school going?" I was in school at the time. "Are you feeling OK?" I was getting sick. "You need to get more sleep." I was in school full time, working full time, and managing 2-3 hours of sleep. "I saw your brother, he looks good" It was my brother's house. "I like it here." "It is so peaceful here." "It is beautiful here"
Since there was nobody I knew that was female and had died at the time, as well as this lasting for 30 minutes at a clip, I was 100% sure that what I was hearing wasn't paranormal. However, I was beginning to wonder if I had schizophrenia. It wasn't until the person said "Oh, I have to get off the phone, the tornado siren just went off," that I was able to take a deep breath and relax.
And I agree that "Hello" is much better than "Get out" no matter how you slice it. I also think it's cool that you said "Hello" back. Let us know if and how things develop!

No baby monitors around. We have no babies in the house. I wish it would happen again so I could do further studies on it. I guess I must be patient. Maybe I'll set up a recorder to try and get some EVP recordings.

Like so many other things in life, when you want it to happen, it doesn't. Good luck!
