Thought I should drop in here and introduce myself to everyone.
I have had an interest in the paranormal since the age of 9 when I had an unexplainable event occur in my parent's home in Los Angeles, CA. Since then I read up on everything I could about ghosts, spirits, and folklore before being allowed to tag along as an observer by a now defunct team in West Los Angeles. I struck out on my own for a few years after coming "of age," and bouncing around between a couple groups before finding one that played by rules I agreed with, in the San Fernando Valley. I stuck with them until making a move out east where I started my own group, becoming involved with paranormal media, and unofficially retiring from ghost hunting after 15 years, and becoming more involved with radio, event planning, and evidence analysis. I believe that there are no "experts" in this area of study, and believe that those that claim to be such are doing the most damage to the credibility of our study. By definition paranormal is an event or occurrence that cannot be explained, and as such it is not possible to be any sort of an authority, or present anything related to the study of the unknown as fact.
Presently, I finished up my Master's degree in business administration and am working in accounting and finance. As far as working with the paranormal, I do pretty regular evidence analysis for a few teams across the country, work with some new teams in my immediate area on a training and consultation basis, give lectures and presentations on different related subjects, and very once in a long while will accompany on an investigation purely to help in directing and honing those basic investigative techniques where needed. My interests now lay purely with analysis of collected possible evidence, and more so with the history of investigated sites to dig up connections with what has been experienced recently in comparison to events that have occurred in the past.
I look forward to exchanging thoughts and ideas with everyone here, and hope that none of my remarks in any sense are taken as negative or personal, but simply as the opinion of some guy on the internet.
