There's a Maine group who call themselves, "New England Ghost Hunters", who are offering an eight week online course to be a "certified" Paranormal Investigator, for the low-low cost of $25. Here is their Facebook sign up page: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=219729729411&index=1Does anyone know anything about this? Bill

I personally wouldn't consider it. Their home page is a Facebook page, for starters. One way to know for sure is to write them with interest and ask them to produce their W9 or tax-exempt paperwork before you will send them any money. If they can't or won't produce either, it's a scam.

lb71> Thanks, I would not dream of sending these guys any money; I just wanted to make the community aware of them. They sound like shysters who are trying to cash in on the whole thing, and going so far as using the name, "Ghost Hunters". I'm certain that Jay and Grant would like to know about their litter operation, making money while using a copyrighted name.

No one in this field is qualified to certify anyone, you cannot be certified in the unknown........If you are looking to learn there are plenty of teams that are willing to take the time and teach you what you want to learn for free.....
