I know police use UV lights to help in investigations to see things like blood and body fluids. UV light seems to show up all the unclean things we do. Would it help in seeing or determining if a spirit is unclean. Anyone out there use UV lights when conducting a paranormal investigation?

We use UV light because its a different frequency of the light spectrum and COULD capture evidence that may exist in that spectrum...

Do you have to use a certain camera to see the light? How do you incorporate it into your investigations. UV lights seem to have backers on both sides...some say they will work and some say they won't. I think, myself, that something as putrid as a demon would surly show some kind of nasty sign it was there. Have you gotten any evidence with an UV light?

I use a basic black light when ware running the cams in to large rooms to help make the picture easier t see. Honestly, I have never captured anything paranormal with thes cameras, so I mostly use them to film doorways to make sure no one messes with us while we aren't in the room.....

I purchased a stroboscopic black light to play with as well, but have not had a chance to try it out as of yet. It was only $5 on eBay...one of those "eh, it's cheap enough" deals.

I use a pocket hand held UV light. Works really well for showing old stains and such.
I was on an investigation of an old hospital this weekend. I had my recorder and other things on an old operating table which had a bed sheet on it. (Looked clean) The area turned into a break area for us, the bed started collecting everyone’s recorders. Then I shined the UV light on the bed and saw nothing but some kind of fluid stains covering most of the sheet. That cleared the bed real fast.

Yick....hehe. We used a similar light in the hotel industry years ago when I worked for Marriott. Pretty gross what those things can point out, huh?
