Like the title says, my experiences aren't very exciting or compelling. They are however true, and they are why i'm such a fan of the paranormal.
When I was a kid, the house we lived in always had something going on. The basement was our game room, and at least once a week we could hear the balls from the pool table bouncing off the concrete walls. The one experience I remember personally having is when I was 10. My brother's bedroom was known in our house as the "cold bedroom," as it was always at least 15-20 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. This was GREAT in the summer, although no one really had an explanation of why it was so much colder. So one summer day while my brother and I were watching tv in the living room, my mom came running out of her bedroom at the end of the hall, threw our shoes at us, and started frantically looking for the keys. She said "Damn they're in the bedroom!" and dragged my brother and I down the hallway to her bedroom. We stood in her doorway while she looked for her keys. The door to the cold room was closed, and all of a sudden the door handle began to shake violently. Up and down, side to side, it was as if someone was trying to tear the door open. She found her keys and we left. We didn't come home until my dad got off of work, we instead spent the day at my aunt's. It was really weird, and all she told me about the incident is that something weird happened and she ran.
The second experience happened about 3 years later, in a different house. My parents were building a home while we were still living in a new house. During the move, we went back and forth between the houses because the water wasn't hooked up yet at our still-being-built house. So one evening we went to the other house, showered and did dishes, and as we were backing out of the garage, the light came on in the garage breezeway. So my mom pulled back into the garage, and made my brother go in the house and shut the light off. As we were backing out again, the light came on again. Same deal. My brother went in and shut the light off. On the third time backing up, it came on again and then went off. My mom was scared so we all went in to look. She tried to turn the switch on and off but it wouldn't come on. She took the cover off the light and we all seen that the light bulb was old, burnt out and black. It even had cobwebs on it, it was so old. So we left, and sure enough, when we were pulling past the house, the light came on again.
I don't have any explanations for my experiences, it's just the only thing i've ever seen with my own eyes. Perhaps they could be debunked somehow! The door handle could be explained perhaps, if there actually was someone behind the door trying to open it. (It didn't lock.) But that would mean that there was a person in our house that wasn't supposed to be, and that would be scarier than a ghost! Lol
Apologies for length/cohesiveness!
