Hello. My name is Dina. I'll write about one of my/our true and recent encounters with the para-realm, this shared with my boyfriend Carl Johnson.
Currently I reside in a mill house, approximately 2 centuries old. From November of last year until this March, I enjoyed the company of two downstairs neighbors who became my friends, Billy and Carol. He would refer to me as, "D." Billy soon became like a big brother to me, caring and protective. Short version is, Billy had been diagnosed with advancing coronary disease. Yet, to see him you wouldn't guess it, being energetic and gotta say with a sounder build than many men in their 20s!
I was upstairs when Billy was stricken--unexpectedly because of the suddenness. He died right there in my presence at the age of 51. When I saw him, I more than sensed but knew his spirit had departed from his body. I could only restrain Carol, who'd become overwhelmed then hysterical while the paramedics tried futilely to resucitate Billy.
A Tuesday evening, one month (to the day) after this, Carl and I were seated together on the couch in my apartment. At 11:20 p.m., we both clearly heard a soft male voice, seeming to come from near the front door but within the room, which said, "D, are you there?" Carl and I turned to each other, both saying, "Did you hear THAT?" He checked, and no one was outside the door nor on the stairwell. I heard this once again, just as distinct, while by myself on Easter Sunday evening. I've devised a term for this: Audible Voice Phenomena. Since then, there have been isolated minutes when I sense Billy's presence in my place.
Rest peacefully, my dear friend. Yes, I know you've been watching out for me!
While I've related this story in brief, it was and remains a heartfelt loss, but an experience enriched with precious memories.
